Blustery day

Saturday 13 Mar 21 Clothing Optional

13 Mar 21

I woke up at 6:30. I put some water on then took the dogs out for their morning potty break. I fed the dogs and gave Pete his morning insulin shot. I made coffee and drank the first cup sitting in the RT reading the Epoch Times.

I went to the door of the Walmart but they were not open yet. I went back to the RT and messed around for 15 minutes until they opened. After I  used the restroom I got on the road. It started out a nice calm day but after an hour or so the wind picked up. Again it started out coming from the south but quickly turned and was out of the West.

I finally decided to stop and found a pull out on a dirt road going to Jucumba Hot Springs. I made breakfast of ham and eggs with grits and toast. I stayed there most of the day. I took Wiggin on a short hike at some point but it was a very uneventful day. I finally drove to the gas station that was by the exit. I used their restroom and then went back to the RT and watched a video on an early 1900 mining disaster in Canada. 198 men died. As I was watching the video an employee of the gas station came to the door. He apparently her noticed my license plate and asked where I was from. He was from the surrounding Salt Lake City area. He told me that the Hot Springs had RV parking for $17. He also said it was a nudist colony but clothing was optional. Hmm!

I finally got back on I-8 and drove to a suburb of San Diego called Lemon Grove. I parked at a Sam's Club and bought a Slice of Pizza from their deli. Apparently they don't have sodas because of the Chinese Communist Party Virus. It is amusing how the policies are so vastly different throughout the country.

I ate the pizza with a beer in the RT. I fed the dogs and gave Pete his insulin shot then went to bed.
